Summer Beauty

Summer and festivities mix together perfectly.  Sun rays and warm temperatures not only help with outdoor photography (and the overall mood of an event), but they also help optimize your hair and makeup.  It’s a great time to wear more vibrant lip colors, play up the bronzer, and wear effortless beach-y waves.

Summer beauty is all about the skin and hair.  Natural tans start to come out for those of us playing in the sun, and even if we aren’t outside much we can create a faux glow with contour and powders.  ‘Barely there beauty’ probably got it’s start in the summer, because flawless skin can be all we need sometimes.

Air-dried locks can be teased and waved outward with a straightener or with a small curler to create an effortless beach-y wave.  Bridal hairstyles can incorporate this effortless look as well.

Tips to Summer Beauty:

Contour with a matte bronzer first, then go over with a shimmering bronzer above the cheekbones for a different approach to the highlight and contour method.

Wear corals, pinks, and berry lip shades.  They look great with sun-kissed skin and minimal makeup.

Try a lightweight foundation with SPF applied before.  It’s a very natural way to look like you have perfect skin and still feel like you’re wearing nothing.

The Beauty Blender.  Use it even if you wear just concealer or a little foundation.  It really will create a natural finish!
